Auto moto karting klub "Modriča" Modriča trains young drivers, organises grassroots karting competitions and carries road-safety education into schools and neighbourhoods across Sarajevo and all of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Our story
Five decades of karts, kids and safer streets
The club was founded by a handful of mechanics, drivers and teachers who believed that a child who learns to respect a track will respect a street. From a borrowed workshop and two home-built karts, the club grew into one of the most consistent grassroots motorsport organisations in the country.
Through every change of decade and circumstance, the work stayed the same: teach the basics properly, keep the equipment safe, open the paddock to anyone willing to learn, and never charge a child for the chance to try.
Today the club runs weekly youth training groups, a national-calendar street karting event, school road-safety visits and free technical-safety checks for family vehicles, all delivered by volunteer members.
Milestones
1974
Club founded as a local auto-moto association with a technical section for karting.
1988
First national-calendar karting race organised on a closed city circuit.
2003
"Safe Step" school programme begins: traffic education for first-grade pupils.
2016
Youth sport academy formalised with licensed coaches and a loan-kart fleet.
Today
Year-round training, regional events and free safety workshops for families.

Road safety advocacy
Classroom and playground programmes, pedestrian-crossing campaigns and public awareness actions with schools, police and local authorities.
Karting events
Organisation of regional and national-calendar competitions, marshal training, timing and full technical scrutineering of every vehicle.
Community outreach
Free technical-safety inspections, family sports days, first-aid demonstrations and support for children from low-income households.

A non-profit you can check
The club has no owners and pays no dividends. Every membership fee, donation and sponsorship is spent on equipment, safety gear, track rental, insurance and programme costs. Annual financial and activity reports are approved by the members' assembly and available on request.
